Southern Shores (Findlay) Across the waves I hear you call From the firing range, yeah like the lion’s roar Turning up the heat on the sanguine shores of Mexico With a force you spit the news like fire, like rain But I don't belong to you, go wrestle your own soul There's a butterfly calling, calling me home Love, will you be there? Delivering final truths While fortune and fame Grace the chosen who remain among the few Every day you don't let go with those serpent like teeth, Yeah, hissing as you go, digging in your heels Just like a spoilt teenage overload When daylight splits the scene Every word, every threat Torments your every dream It's written in stone Will you remember the day they told you, told you so? Love, will you be there? Delivering final truths While fortune and fame Grace chosen who remain among the few Love, will you be there? Remedying misspent youth? When the colour they bleed Is the same no matter how they, how they choose Oh, Love, will you be there? delivering final truths While fortune and fame Grace the chosen who remain among the few Love, will you be there? Remedying misspent youth. When the colour they bleed Is the same no matter how they, how they choose Oh, well it’s killing you Oh woah © & ℗ 2019 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records | All rights reserved

Here’s To You (Findlay/Morley) On another highway, heading out of town Searching for a reason I can’t find We’d be down on our luck But we’d always talk it out Down at the bar on a Saturday night Well I always thought I’d see your face again And I can’t deny it’s so hard to understand I can’t believe you're leaving And this is how your story ends As I say goodbye, it’s here’s to you my friend Sweeping through the hallway the sunlight streaming in When I took the call I couldn’t work it out Try to see it your way but it’s tough to comprehend You made such a difference to so many men Well, I always thought I’d see your face again And I never got to thank you for all you did I’ll see you when I’m dreaming But if I have to wait till then I’m gonna raise my glass singing here’s to you my friend When I remember the good times that we had How can I be unhappy even if I’m sad? ‘Cos I always thought I’d see your face again And I never got to thank you for all you did I’ll see you when I’m dreaming But if I have to wait till then I’m gonna raise my glass singing Here’s to you my friend Here’s to you my friend © & ℗ 2019 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records | BMG Rights Management UK | All rights reserved

Just A Woman (Findlay/Morley) If you’re wondering why I keep my distance Baby, when the lights are low I can tell you're feeling my resistance and I guess it’s time to let you know You’ve got something boy I can’t deny it, but I’ve seen my share of pain I’ve been wronged and though I don’t regret it I don’t wanna go there again I might not be the one, but how could I do you wrong? When I feel it so strong Don’t get me wrong it’s not that I don’t trust you But one thing we gotta understand Nothing’s gonna stop the full moon rising ‘Cos I’m just a woman and you’re just a man Yeah, I’m a woman and you’re just a man I don’t want you feeling under pressure, but I’m not gonna lie to you It’s hard to hide it when the sparks are flying And I know that you can feel it too Maybe you’re not the one, but I don’t wanna get this wrong But I feel it so strong I only ever wanna see you laughing I only wanna do the best I can But I can’t promise you there won’t be trouble ‘Cos you’re just a woman and I’m just a man If I ever make you feel like crying I don’t wanna cause you hurt or pain We’re only human with the same affliction I’m just a woman and I’m just a man People talking about the way it should be and it’s beyond belief Is that how it’s meant to be? Just be a man to me Maybe you’re not the one and I don’t wanna get this wrong When I feel it so strong I only ever wanna see you laughing I only wanna do the best I can But I can’t promise you there won’t be trouble ‘Cos I’m just a woman and I’m just a man If I ever make you feel like crying I don’t wanna cause you hurt or pain We’re only human with the same affliction I’m just a woman and I’m just a man Yeah, I’m a woman and I’m just a man I’m just a woman © & ℗ 2019 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records | BMG Rights Management UK | All rights reserved

The Island 04:27
The Island (Findlay) A solo mission was never part of the plan Home again will never be home again The tide has turned this road into an end We know the truth and I never could pretend Dissolution of a promise The final curtain falls upon this Set it free, let it fall down Let it bleed into the night and watch it burn out in the sun Take it to the island that is furthest from your heart Lay it down to rest and go right back to the start And just be I will labour to keep them from coming undone As we revoke the vows we'd written into their blood Listen to the sons and daughters Ever bridging broken waters Set it free, let it fall down Let it bleed into the night and watch it burn out in the sun Take it to the island that is furthest from your heart Lay it down to rest and go right back to the start And just be Just be And just be Just be © & ℗ 2019 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records | All rights reserved

Face In The Sun (Findlay/Morley) Ooh, I saw you facing the sun Healing scars of broken love Close your eyes let go of the reins Far above our worldly plane Om Namah Shivaya Ahh ah ah ah Om Namah Shivaya When I see your face in the sun shadows run Open my eyes to a love I can feel Far beyond all that I thought was real Om Namah Shivaya Ahh ah ah ah Om Namah Shivaya Ooh, I saw your face in the sun Burning golden love Mmmm dancing long till the end of the song Of the soul we are one Om Namah Shivaya Ahh ah ah ah Om Namah Shivaya Om Namah Shivaya Ahh ah ah ah Om Namah Shivaya © & ℗ 2019 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records | BMG Rights Management UK All rights reserved

I Remember 04:42
I Remember (Findlay) I remember you, horse, racing waves across the beach I remember the stars only just out of reach I remember the ways losing time across shores I remember our dreams, our little boat without oars I remember the days, chasing sun across fields I remember your hand on my face, how it feels I remember those nights, burning long afternoons I remember your voice and how we kissed the full moon Oh, the tide has moved out now Many sails have been torn But no traveler is he who yesterday mourns Still I remember the days singing only for you I remember the ways opening up to the truth I remember your words like a blade across my skin I remember the tears and how they tore from within Oh, the time has moved on now Many seeds have been sown And the answers that we seek whisper to silence alone Though the Sun has gone down now And many leaves will surely fall Old endings shall offer themselves to the dawn Oh, the sky has grown dark now Many shadows will run But no dreamer will sleep until battles are won © & ℗ 2019 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records | All rights reserved

Caught In A Fold (Findlay) Nobody knows About the way that I've been feeling I'm caught in a fold As the moon holds the sea I’ve been rolling back On a wave already broken I can't fight the tide As the sea encircles me I can't tell you All that I've done is good I've been driftwood, coasting Treading my own weary blood I can't tell you How I feel today This book of storms has opened And I'm flying right off this page You wouldn't know This ragged soul, lost and wandering Feeling the pull of the moon and sea Far from myself Losing strength And the daylight's waning Oh, when it's time to go will they call Call for me? I can't tell you All that I've done is good I've been driftwood, coasting Treading my own weary blood I can't tell you How I feel today This book of storms has opened And I'm flying right off this page © & ℗ 2004 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records | All rights reserved

Winner 05:39
Winner (Findlay/Morley) Heartbeat, rush, heat Burn, fire, desire We don’t have to be right Sworn love, born sons Flame burns, love hurts We don’t have to be right We are on the same side I don’t care what you do or what you say It don’t matter who you blame One hollow victory’s not worth the price we’d pay ‘Cos there’s no winner in this game In this game Heartbeat, rush, heat Burn, fire, flame dies We don’t have to be right We are on the same side And I don’t care what you do, or what you say Makes no difference who’s to blame One empty victory’s not worth The price we’d pay There’s no winner in this game Na na na na na Na na na na... We don’t have to be right We are on the same side And I don’t care what you do, or what you say Makes no difference who’s to blame One empty victory’s not worth The price we’d pay There’s no winner in this game Na na na na na Na na na na… (Twice as long) © & ℗ 2019 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records | BMG Rights Management UK All rights reserved

Already Free 06:14
Already Free (Findlay) Over mountains, through crystalline streams made it this far Fortune is a tall ship at sea sailing by one star Standing on that bridge so long Wondering which way is home Oh, the higher that we go when that storm rolls in We can soar like an eagle, ‘cos we're already free Wanted by that ocean in me, taking life by storm Made a believer of me, who would have thought? Tell me, how long can this roll on, if I don't write this song? Oh, the higher that we go when that storm rolls in We can soar like an eagle, ‘cos we're already free Yes, we're already free You know that it's gonna take some time You don't have to worry just, spread your wings and glide Tell me, how long can this roll on, if I don't write this song? It’s gonna have to die with me, love Then the message is lost Follow the way of the eagle we'll fly above the peaks, yeah Baby, just flow like a river ‘cos you're already free Yes, we're already free ‘Cos we’re already free © & ℗ 2019 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records | All rights reserved

Black Rain 04:41
Black Rain (Findlay / add. Music Josh) Standing on the edge of a blue green volcano Somewhere in the middle See the ticking of a clock Staring out to sea Do you see the fires burning We're gonna need some of that universal love Did no one tell you there'd be endless summers Where you'll be praying for black rain Shine for tomorrow The plane leaves today Move into the future See the faces of our children I don't preach but the shop is already sailing I had to let you know before the storm Takes the mast Did no one tell you there'd be Thunder, lightning Ooh we're heading for black rain Oh, if we don't change Did no one tell you there'd be Thunder, lightning Ooh we're heading for black rain Oh, if we don't change Shine for tomorrow Wake up today Shine for tomorrow Plane leaves today © & ℗ 2005 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records

Lake Sunday 04:21
Lake Sunday (Findlay) Shifting out of the rain that holds you Been coming down, soaked the both of us through Staying out not coming in, give me a reason to be here Though the fire’s burning, there’s a storm a coming Drifting out of a love that was true Been weighing down all the dreams I had too Giving out and giving in once were my reason to breathe in Though the fire’s burning, it burns right through you and... I’ve left the motor running, take back your keys I’m going Won’t know the place until it is in view Just tell the sun I’m coming, some place near water running Meditate on what I’m gonna do I’ve left the motor running, take back your keys I’m going Won’t know the place until it is in view Just tell the sun I’m coming, some place near water running Meditate on what I’m gonna do Na na na na... Just tell the sun I’m coming, some place near water running Meditate on what I’m gonna do © & ℗ 2015 Black Sand Records / Heather Findlay | All rights reserved

Cactus 04:15
Cactus (Findlay) With the whip of a comet's tail I went blazing leagues across the sand Found myself a burning man with a far out look in his hand With a sip of the cactus brew I was blooming, flaming crimson red Dancing to some star seed band with tomorrow eyes in my head God, I was only looking to put the smile back on my face But into the brew tripped on life's avenue Now the world's a different place Ba-ba-ba-ba, open your heart to the sun Ba-ba-ba-ba, kick up the dust, come undone A brush with a desert storm in a dust cloud of thinkers out of the box Lovers and creators all just citizens of Black Rock God, I was only looking to put the smile back on my face Someone said, 'Do you sing? Mariachi will swing' Now the world's a peculiar place Ba-ba-ba-ba, open your heart kiss the sun Ba-ba-ba-ba, love in the dust come undone To the laughing cuervo, listen ‘cos he knows that dawn begins to crack When you shake the sand from your pockets ‘cos what's given you'll always get back With the whip of a comet's tail I went blazing leagues across the sand Found myself a burning man with a far out look in his hand God, I was only looking to put the smile back on my face But out of the blue, seems I jumped up the queue Now the world's a different place Ba-ba-ba-ba open your heart, kiss the sun Ba-ba-ba-ba dance to your truth, come undone © & ℗ 2019 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records | All rights reserved

Unoriginal Sin (Findlay) Moon is rising for you Colours are flying for you Turn your back and paper over the cracks Poured it all out under that moon Baby was crying for you But you know she'll be arriving soon The mice are away So the cat’s gonna play Stirred it all up with your silver spoon Back there's no turning Wheels will keep moving Your lies won't stop me from Going home going home And there's no way are they coming back (Oooh oooh oooh oooh) Paved their way then you covered their tracks (Ahh ahhh aaah aaah) No way are they coming back (Oooh oooh oooh oooh) Paved their way then you covered their tracks (Ahh ahhh aaah aaah) Covered their tracks (Covered their tracks) Oh, with a killer story (Covered their tracks) Oh, that, yes man, I believe! (Covered their tracks) Oh, for one word from your (Covered their tracks) silver tongue Baby was dying for you But temptation was finding her view Focusing in on unoriginal sin Sailing away on a ship of fools… Bye Bye! Back, there's no turning (There's no turning back) Wheels will keep moving (Moving on) Your lies won't stop me from (You won't stop me, no) Going home Back there's no turning (There's no turning back) Wheels will keep moving (Moving on) Your lies won't stop me from (You won't stop me, no) Going home Oh, no, no, no, no © & ℗ 2008 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records | All rights reserved

Wild White Horses (Findlay/Morley) I feel the river running through me to heed the calling of the sea I hear a whisper from the ocean Do you remember me? The rising tides of distant passion Crashing waves upon the shore The towering wall of my resistance tumbles to the floor, to the floor I will return Someday we’ll chase the moon into the sun And on that sacred dawn we’ll see wild white horses running free When every question has no answer When every moment brings a trial When every glass you fill is half empty think of me and smile ‘Cos I will return To the beach where the midnight fires burn And far beyond the flames we’ll see wild white horses running free I feel the river running through me Do I heed the caution or retreat? I hear a whisper from the ocean Do you remember me? I will return Someday we’ll chase the moon into the sun And on that sacred dawn we’ll see wild white horses running free Wanna watch them running free Wanna watch them running free Running, running free Wild white horses ride from the dark into the light © & ℗ 2019 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records | BMG Rights Management UK | All rights reserved

Firefly 05:03
Firefly (Findlay/Morley) Firefly, it would be wrong to hold on Although you must fly on You’ll not leave here without all my love It’s time for you to go home She’s calling you back through the stars Into the wind you go Back to her arms Back to her arms Firefly, go back where you belong Follow lights... No, I’ll not keep you long I know that we need to be strong It’s time for you to go home She’s calling you back through the twilight Into the wind you go Back to her arms Back to her arms So let go of me, but in your heart, hold me Fly, firefly Love me, still love me and darling see how we shine…. Firefly It’s time for you to go home She’s calling you back through the stars Into the wind you go… It’s time for you to go home She’s calling you back through the twilight Upon wings aglow, back to her arms Back to her arms... Forget the Rain (Findlay/Morley) Look into my eyes, don’t you recognise me? That storm across your mind, you can no longer hide it I don’t want to cry, but I'm holding back a river It’s impossible to lie, keeping so much inside Laying here without you Still wrapped up in the times We merged into the stars so can’t we Forget the rain tonight? Forget the rain tonight Mmm mmm Darling, know that I still sing to you each night I look towards the sky, pray that everything will be fine It couldn't get much better Than dancing in your arms I know we could be together if we Forget the rain tonight Forget the rain tonight No, don't worry ‘bout the weather outside Forget the rain tonight When the misty morning sun bathes us in his light Feel the heavens smiling, everything’s gonna be alright We'll fly above the clouds and leave it all behind So don't you worry about the weather tonight Doesn't get much better Than waking in your arms I know we can rise in love if we just Forget the rain tonight Forget the rain tonight No, don’t worry about the weather outside Forget the rain tonight... Forget the rain Oh, forget the rain tonight…. Tonight © & ℗ 2019 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records | BMG Rights Management UK All rights reserved

Solitaire (Findlay) Stone love keep me happy Blind love keep it locked in Sleight of hand’ll twist your fate Slow hand keep it flowing Obeah is her knowing Take your chance on her gift of sight Mirror, mirror on the wall Take a look, yeah take it all Who’s the fairest of them all…? Twinkle, twinkle little star Cut the deck and pick a card How I wonder who you are… Dream up your selection Three of cups my discretion Ask no questions I won’t tell no lies Death swerved your detection Beautiful deception Solitaire the world is yours tonight Mirror, mirror on the wall Tell me will the hanged man fall? How I wonder, who you are Twinkle, twinkle little star Cut the deck and pick a card Who’s the fairest now you’ve come too far? Mystic lady Can you see the sparks? Feel the wind rush through your hair No more waiting Freedom from the dark How’s it feel, Solitaire? Twinkle, twinkle little star This time well, you’ve gone too far To write my name across your burning sky Yes, they called me Solitaire I wear the moonlight in my hair A secret hand of lovers spells goodbye © & ℗ 2018 Heather Findlay | Black Sand Records | All rights reserved

about

Live White Horses, is a 20 track live album offering from Findlay and friends chronicling her Wild White Horses tour of 2019/2020 from where it all started in Nashville TN all the way across UK, Europe and back home again. "In 2020, I was fortunate to have been able to tour Wild White Horses in the UK with an absolutely stellar bunch of hugely talented and wonderful souls. We recorded some of the shows and from which, I'm delighted to able to offer as live album" (Heather Findlay).

The full band live show is featured end to end throughout tracks 1-16 of the album and also 4 bonus tracks.

The first one of which (track 17) is a very rare version of Firefly recorded as a one off live in session offering at St John's University, York - February 2020 shortly after the tour, followed by 3 solo acoustic tracks recorded by Heather, at home during lockdown - amongst them is otherwise unreleased new song 'Solitiare'.

"I feel Live White Horses has successfully captured the tour's high vibes and live essence perfectly and I'm really hopeful that given the times we are all facing as both musicians and live music lovers, that it helps to bridge the gap between now and when we are able to experience that magic and togetherness in real time once again" (Findlay).

Classic Rock and Prog Magazine attended Findlay's London show in January and in a review lauded her live band as a "7 strong crack-squad of musicians", stating "Findlay disproves any notions of being a one dimensional waif", describing some live versions of Wild White Horses as "robust, and rootsy", "on-the-money, easy-to-fall-for tunes - rock tunes, with just a touch of Nashville" and how in some, "Findlay swirls Indian and Led Zeppelin III-esque textures into her palette".
"Pleasingly heavy, hearty" older tunes from Findlay's "proggier past" in bands such as Mostly Autumn and Mantra Vega are also "received lovingly".

Download includes song sheets, liner notes and unseen photographs!

A worthy addition to any Heather Findlay collection!
